Membership in the Stonebridge Community Association is an inexpensive way to support your local community and in turn receive some great benefits. Members are the cornerstones of the association and we simply would not exist without them. Membership is as much about fundraising for the community and the SCA as it is about individuals making a connection with other residents and local authorities. We have built a great community, and are now reaching out to residents to join forces and become a voice in our community’s growth, development and maintenance.

Funds help make the SCA effective in its role as your association by enabling social events, Kilbirnie Skating Rink, Annual Garage Sale, Movies in the Park, Children’s Christmas Party and more….. Communication of events and key issues through signage, social media, e-newsletters and a website. Funds also help provide the base financing to support a community improvement projects or, alternatively, to oppose major initiatives that could damage or threaten our community.

The best aspects of membership however, are that you meet neighbours, your sense of belonging and community is fostered, and you find out what’s going on in your community when things are in planning, when we have the greatest opportunity to influence outcomes.

Programs and events conducted by the Stonebridge Community Association are subject to the availability of the community volunteer base in any given year and as such will be conducted on a best effort basis.

Stonebridge Community Association members and their immediate family can now enjoy a 20% discount on monthly fees at the Minto Recreation Centre and all recreation centres managed by the City of Ottawa. The discount also applies to “All-Inclusive” and “One Option” fitness memberships.

Acceptable proof of membership are (a) an email receipt of membership payment or (b) a Membership Confirmation printout from the SCA web site.

Cost of Membership

The cost of the membership collected goes directly towards the efforts and events that the SCA takes on, on behalf of the community.
