We received an official heads up from the City today for a proposed commercial development at 3802/3812 Greenbank Rd .

The application proposes to develop the site under a Local Commercial (LC) zoning designation for a single storey commercial building that could house up to 10 retail units.  The building is proposed to be 848 sq. metres, with 28 surface parking spaces. The Zoning By-law states intent of the LC zoning district is to allow a variety of small, locally-oriented convenience and service uses, with development standards to ensure that the size and scale of the development is consistent with that of the surrounding area.

If you have questions about this proposed development the contact at the City of Ottawa is provided below.

  1. It is a residential Area. Having 10 Commercial units will generate too much traffic in that neighborhood. We also need another signal light at the intersection of Greenbank & Kilbirnie.
I hope the city is not going to approve this rezoning application.
