In unity with Ottawa’s “Cleaning the Capital” initiative, and to meet our Adopt-a-Park commitment, we’re hosting another Stonebridge Community Clean-Up Day!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 4th. (rain date Sun. May 5th) We’d love for our Stonebridge friends to join in, spending an hour or two making our beautiful community sparkle even more by clearing litter from our trails, parks, and entrance areas. Meet us at W.C. Levesque Park between 10 AM – 12 PM to grab some garbage bags and gloves, courtesy of the City of Ottawa. They’ll also be picking up all the collected trash! Bonus! For our younger community members, this is a fantastic opportunity to rack up some community volunteer hours. Visit the key heritage site of Barrhaven, the Jockvale School House, at the upcoming Heritage Day. Search for the table marked ‘Friends of the Jockvale School House,’ where you will find a wealth of literature, information, and a banner highlighting the school. Representatives will be on hand, engaging in discussions with attendees who are interested in learning more about this historical gem. July 22 at Kilbirnie Park – Fun Cruiser opens at 7pm for free treats, movie starts at 8.50pm (sunset) Join us to watch a movie on the big screen at Kilbirnie Park in Stonebridge. Everyone is welcome! Bring your blankets, camping chairs, mosquito repellent and your friends. Free treats will be available at the Sequoia Fun Cruiser, including cotton candy, sno-cones and popcorn! Hosted in partnership with Sequoia Community Church.

  The popular ‘Just for Fun’ Soccer registration is open! The program runs on Thursdays from May 25th through June 29th at WC Levesque Park soccer fields. *  Note – Membership with the SCA is a requirement for this event. Not a member? Join here. (A household membership is $20 annually) What:  ‘Just for Fun’ Soccer Who:  Kids aged 3-9 Dates:  Every Thursday May 25th to June 29th Time:  5.30-6.30pm Cost:  $40 per child (includes free t-shirt) Where:  W.C.
