Created in January 2003, the Parks & Recreation Committee's mandate is "to ensure the Stonebridge community has a voice in, and to carry forward initiatives related to the  development of the parklands designated by the City of Ottawa  for the recreational enjoyment of Stonebridge".

The Parks & Recreation Committee's goal is to maintain and improve the condition of parks and recreation areas in the Stonebridge Community.  Residents have many options to chose from for staying active and enjoying the outdoors, including a hockey rink, splash pad, play structures, scenic nature trails and soccer fields.
