The extension of Strandherd was temporarily on hold as City Council determined the nature of the Strandherd – Earl Armstrong Bridge (i.e. LRT or Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)). City Council carried forward BRT and design of the project has since recommenced with construction targeted to begin in 2010. - Traffic will continue along Strandherd moving west and enter the community thru Cresthaven.
- BTR will move along Strandherd and then moves onto a dedicated artery (just before Crestway) and into the retail shopping in a westerly direction.
- This will eventually connect into the current construction next to the Tim Horton’s.
PRINCE OF WALES BLVD
- There will be traffic lights installed on Prince of Wales at Rockyhill Rd.
- North bound traffic will not have access to a left turn lane onto Rockyhill Rd.
- Four lane traffic will continue from Jockvale and Prince of Wales past Strandherd and 200 meters beyond before turning back into two lanes (location between Barnstone & Fairpark Drive).
