Councillor Jan Harder (Ward 3 – Barrhaven)

Jan Harder has served the residents of Barrhaven as their municipal representative for over 14 years. A recognized leader on council who has been proud to call Barrhaven home for over 25 years, Jan is always accessible to residents, taking prompt action on concerns raised by her constituents. She has become known as a community builder and champion and has helped Barrhaven grow by working with local and national business leaders as well as City staff to secure the necessary infrastructure to support such growth. Jan believes the best way to build Barrhaven is to balance growth while maintaining a high quality of life – an approach that has made this community one of the most desirable places in Ottawa to live, work and play.

Councillor Carol Anne Meehan (Ward 22 – Gloucester-South Nepean)

Carol Anne is a native of Pembroke, Ontario. She studied journalism at Ryerson University and embarked on a career that saw her work in many Canadian cities, including Pembroke, Sudbury, Edmonton and Calgary. She moved to Ottawa in 1989 to join the CJOH News team as co-anchor with Max Keeping, a position she enjoyed for 27 years.

In 2015, Carol Anne launched a web blog called Local Stories, Local People. She also hosted The Carol Anne Meehan Show on 1310 NEWS. She followed that with Coffee With, a series of interviews with local residents.

Carol Anne made the jump into municipal politics in 2018. She was elected City Councillor of Ward 22, Gloucester-South Nepean on October 22, 2018. She brings extensive community knowledge and engagement to the job.

Councillor Scott Moffatt (Ward 21 – Rideau-Goulbourn)

Scott Moffatt, the councillor for Rideau-Goulbourn in the City of Ottawa, has lived in the ward all his life. Tracing his ancestry back almost 200 years to the Richmond, Manotick and Kars area, Scott was born and raised in old Rideau Township and lives in North Gower with his wife Jill and three kids – Lane, Peyton and Luke. Scott is an active member with the Manotick Kiwanis, the Westminster Presbyterian Church and Watson’s Mill, but when he finally finds time for rest, is no happier than spending time with his wife and kids.

Scott was first elected to office as the Councillor for Ward 21 – Rideau-Goulbourn in the 2010 Municipal Elections.
